"BIRT Excellence Award" for Brückner Servtec’s MMS

Brückner Servtec’s software MMS (Manufacturing Management System) has received the "BIRT Excellence Award" at this year’s Actuate Customer Day in Frankfurt, Germany, within the award category "Manufacturing". BIRT is an open-source-software project for the development of reporting and business-intelligence applications. Participants of the project are, among others, IBM and Actuate Corporation. The jury appreciated the innovative application, developed by Brückner Servtec, which provides decision makers with selected Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of production plants. These KPIs are available on mobile devices such as iPhone and iPad. The award is yearly presented to companies with outstanding solutions in business reporting and performance management.

Upgrade from cascade to twin screw extrusion with special conveying system

There is a longstanding relationship between Taghleef Industries (Ti), one of the largest manufacturers of BOPP and CPP films in the world, and Brückner Servtec. After various joined projects at other BOPP lines of Ti’s huge technology park, the 6,6m-line at the site in Hungary has been recently upgraded with twin screw extrusion system, new resin supply system and a state-of-the-art Brückner Integrated Process Control System (IPC).
