Brückner Servtec and Brückner Maschinenbau inform about sustainable packaging innovations, advanced technical film technologies, and next-gen digital tools
The 12th Speciality Films & Flexible Packaging Global Summit & Exhibition, held on 3–4 September 2025 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai, brought together more than 2,000 professionals from the plastics and packaging industry. Organized by ElitePlus Business Services, the event served as a key platform for industry leaders to exchange insights on sustainability, innovation, and the future of flexible film technologies.
Brückner was this year strongly represented by Christian Stadler (Sales Director, Brückner Servtec) and Markus Gschwandtner (CSO and Managing Director, Brückner Maschinenbau), who jointly showcased how both companies are driving innovation in sustainable packaging as well as in advanced technical films for the benefit of its customer and the entire value chain.
Their presentation on packaging highlighted:
- Sustainable packaging solutions such as mono-material structures (e.g. BOPE) that enable full recyclability and meet evolving regulatory demands.
- High-barrier packaging achieved through inline coating technologies, supporting both performance and sustainability.
- Green line production: targeted line modifications that reduce carbon footprint by optimizing raw material use, energy consumption, and overall efficiency.
In addition to packaging, the speakers explored the growing importance of advanced technical films in response to the accelerating global energy demand, where Brückner Maschinenbau offers cutting-edge technologies for current collector films, capacitor films and separator films.
Complementing the hardware innovations, also the latest digital tools – such as digital twin training and AI-powered interfaces hat support efficient operation and long-term performance across new and existing lines, have been presented.
