Agreement officially signed at Chinaplas 2025
Hubei Firsta Material Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd (”Hubei Firsta Group"), a leading functional BOPP film manufacturer from China, announced a one-time project to upgrade its BOPP production line to boost its capacity and capabilities to better meet growing customer demands.
During Chinaplas 2025 in Shenzen, Hubei Firsta signed an agreement with Brückner Servtec that encompasses a comprehensive Inline Coating (ILC) upgrade to its Brückner BOPP film stretching line.
Teng Lian Jun, General Manager Strategic Operations at Hubei Firsta Group: “The Firsta Group is not only a manufacturer that offers its customers high-quality BOPP films, but also a company that recognises the changing times and invests in its facilities, personnel and equipment to stay at the forefront of the market. The ILC modernisation is another important step for us to improve the recyclability of BOPP films and leave a more environmentally friendly footprint in the packaging value chain. As Brückner Servtec has been our modernisation partner for a long time, it was obvious for us to realise this project together very smoothly.”
"We are very proud of our long-standing cooperation with Hubei Firsta and sincerely thank the company for its unwavering trust in our capabilities and expertise. Joint efforts such as the implementation of Brückner’s latest inline coating technology, mark a big step towards a more sustainable BOPP film production in the future, for us, the customers and the environment." – Pascal Fuchs, Sales & Service Director at Brückner Group China.
The modernisation of Hubei Firsta's film stretching facilities is scheduled to begin in autumn and expected to be completed by the end of 2025.
