- Successful start-up of modified BOPLA line at Taghleef Industries
Taghleef Industries, the worldwide leading BOPP producer, and Brückner Servtec teamed up in order to modify one of Taghleef’s existing lines in Italy to produce BOPLA. Brückner Servtec contributed among others, with special layouts and the supply of the modifications for the extrusion system, casting unit, TDO and a state-of-the-art process control system. The start-up of the new line took place on August 18th, 2010, one month ahead of schedule and since the following week the commercial production has commenced successfully.
- High-tech filter production in Asia
The Joint Venture “Brückner Seebach Filter Solutions India Pvt. Ltd.” of Brückner and Seebach GmbH & Co KG, the leading German manufacturer of high-quality filter elements, started its filter production in Pune/India. With the most modern equipment to manufacture filter elements, this production facility is unique in whole Asia and a worldwide benchmark for precision, quality and competitiveness. The product spectrum includes all kinds of filter candles, whether pleated or not, filter discs, filter screens, filter gaskets and special design filter elements. We would like to show you our product innovations and developments in polymer filtration at the Seebach booth.

- Next generation of remote-service products for after-sales
Brückner Servtec presents a new generation of remote service tools within its product line TRAVIS (Tools for Remote Audio and Video In Service): “Mentor” and “Callisto”. They are suitable for the rough industrial environment and help to increase line availability.
The TRAVIS Mentor is a specifically customized tablet-PC with touch-screen, camera, LED lamp and headset and features wireless access and control of your production line and equipment together with the possibility of attending videoconferences. Hence, parameter adjustments and line operation can be done from all over the production hall.
The TRAVIS Callisto features a headset with HUD (Head up Display), microphone, camera and loudspeakers and is worn in a vest on the body. Due to a see-through display, which is integrated in the headset, the user can see the screen contents right before his eye. The user’s hands remain free for working due to this wearable concept, but at the same time he can still access the line’s visualization, circuit diagrams, drawings, etc.
- Manufacturing Management System (MMS) goes mobile
MMS mobile is a special version of Brückner’s Manufacturing Management System (MMS) for the use with smart phones and other mobile devices which run under Windows Mobile. The new software solution allows an easy and comfortable access, e.g. for managers, to key performance indicators (KPIs) of their film manufacturing process. This executive summary gives managers an overview of the production’s performance and the line’s current status and provides more transparency and control – wherever they are, in the office or away on business.
MMS consists of several modules, e.g. the field proven module “Production Execution Management” (PEM). This is an extension of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system and connects the ERP system with the shop floor. PEM coordinates electronically all activities on the shop floor and therefore guarantees a constant high production quality.
