Our contribution

Sustainability is an important topic across the Brückner Group. As a specialist for services and upgrades, we support film stretching line operators in adapting, modernizing and extending the use of existing production lines.

Our approach covers different stages of the equipment lifecycle, from modernization and operational services to plant relocation and reuse. Many of the lines we support have been in operation for several decades, with some running for more than 30 years.

Further developing existing production lines

With upgrades and line-specific solutions, we help operators adapt their production systems to changing requirements. Together with our customers, we develop tailored concepts to support these adjustments.
Our portfolio includes heat recovery systems, solutions for adapting energy, material and process parameters, and technologies that support stable film quality. This creates new opportunities to further develop existing production processes in a targeted way.
Circular Economy & materials

Technical modifications can enable existing production lines to be adapted for the processing of selected bio-based materials, such as PLA-PHA. The specific implementation depends on the individual line, the material used and the intended application.
Project example: A calculation carried out jointly by Brückner Servtec and project partner Decowraps indicates that the CO₂e footprint of a BOPP flower packaging solution made from 90% post-consumer recycled content can be approximately 51% lower over its entire life cycle than that of a comparable packaging solution made from virgin material. The calculation is based on an end-of-life scenario of 90% energy recovery and 10% recycling.
Recyclable packaging solutions

Through technical modifications, we support customers in the production of selected mono-material and barrier film solutions. These include mono-material concepts such as BOPE as well as technologies designed to enhance barrier structures and coating processes.
These solutions can help manufacturers address future regulatory requirements.

Brückner Servtec supports operators in extending the service life of existing film stretching lines and adapting them to changing technical and production requirements.
