Sophisticated specialty films? No problem with Brückner at one’s side!

HiTi Digital, Inc., a professional manufacturer and supplier of digital photo products and services, is well known for its professional quality and innovative thermal transfer technology.  The company successfully debut high quality wireless portable photo printer Pringo, which prints directly from smart phones. With its headquarters, manufacturing facilities and R&D centre established in Taiwan, HiTi also sets its strategic international subsidiaries and branch offices in Suzhou China, North America, Western Europe, Latin America and Singapore.

To maintain its innovative position and to connect with the ever-changing customer needs, HiTi decided to broaden its portfolio with the manufacturing of its own dye-sublimation ink ribbons. To successfully achieve this goal – even as a newcomer in film production – the company has teamed up with Brückner. The results have proven they were right to do so.

The recent kickoff of the 5.8m wide BOPET thin film line was fantastic. The effective cooperation between HiTi’s specialists and Brückner’s team from China and Germany has brought substantial achievements. Moreover, HiTi and Brückner have managed to successfully start up the BOPET thin film line with economic usage of special and valuable resin. It has been a success story of technological advancements with bright future developments to come.

Some information on TTR
Polyester film is the base material of choice for thermal transfer ribbons. For standard TTR, the main thickness is 4.5 microns, for some specialties it is even below, whereas certain applications use 5.7 micron film. TTR are used in bar code, fax and portable printers, ticketing machines and various ribbons. All applications are characterized by a good combination of mechanical strength, dimensional stability and thermal resistance.
